New 4-storey building for TIIC
Expanding access to quality technical education and skills development for Ilonggos, the Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC) inaugurated its new 4-storey, 8-classroom school building.
Mayor Raisa S. Treñas, who led the ribbon-cutting and unveiling of the commemorative marker, emphasized the importance of continued investments in education and workforce readiness.
“Madamo na kita sang graduates nga subong skilled workers kag naga-contribute sa development, ilabi na sa construction kag iban pa nga industriya. Amu ina nga padayon naton nga gina-modernize kag ginapalapad ang TIIC agud mas madamo pa kita sang mapa-graduate nga estudyante kag mahatagan sang maayo nga buwas-damlag nga mga Ilonggo,” she said.
For Mayor Raisa, the building serves as a symbol of hope and opportunity to improve the lives of Ilonggos.
Messages of support were delivered by Ms. Maria Mathilde G. Treñas, Special Assistant to the Mayor, and Mr. Edgar Demotica, Head of Academic Affairs of TIIC.
The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Gremar Lacson of St. Anne Parish – Molo and attended by students, faculty and staff, school officials, and former educators.
The building, equipped with an elevator, is located in M.H. del Pilar, Molo.
