Treñas thanks ICPO Director for outstanding service

Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas expressed her heartfelt gratitude to outgoing ICPO Director PCol. Kim P. Legada for his exceptional service to the city.

Under Legada’s leadership, the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) achieved significant milestones, including being recognized as a back-to-back Best City Police Office.

“Naintindihan ko nga leaders come and go, kag kabahin ini sang normal nga dalagan sang serbisyo publiko. Apang sa sini nga tion, ginahambal ko ang akon bug-os nga pagpasalamat sa iya serbisyo para sa Iloilo City,” said Mayor Treñas.

During his tenure, the ICPO intensified its campaign against illegal drugs which resulted to nearly 1,000 drug operations, the arrest of 1,344 drug suspects, and the confiscation of over PHP 300 million worth of illegal drugs. These efforts have contributed greatly to maintaining peace and order in the city.

Mayor Treñas acknowledged the significant impact of Legada’s leadership and challenged the incoming City Director to match or surpass his achievements.

The mayor also requested the Police Regional Office 6 regional director Brigadier Gen Josefino Ligan to consider retaining Legada’s help and guidance, particularly with major events approaching, given his leadership in security preparations. (Iloilo City PIO)
