The 11th Iloilo Bike Festival officially launched Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Park Square, Iloilo Business Park, Megaworld, bringing together cyclists of all ages for two weeks of exciting activities.

This year’s festival features an extended lineup of events, including competitive races, leisurely rides, and community-led biking initiatives, making it the longest-running edition yet.

Present at the opening ceremony were Retired Police Colonel Uldarico Garbanzos, Vice Chairman of the Iloilo Bike Council; Jay Treñas, Assistant Director of the Iloilo Bike Festival; Festive Walk Mall General Manager Karmela Jesen; and Arch. Wilfredo Sy Jr.

“For our Bike Festival, we have not only sustained this festival, but elevated it into one of Iloilo most highly anticipated annual events, inspiring communities and strengthening our shared vision for a vibrant cycling culture. Iloilo City proudly holds the distinction of being the country’s bike capital, but beyond this prestigious title lies our unwavering advocacy to champion by culture, environmental protection and a healthier way of life, not just within our city but across our great nation,” said Executive Assistant Jay Treñas, in a message on behalf of City Mayor Jerry Treñas.

“Now, after 11 years, we are celebrating in two weeks because of the number of cycling and cycling groups that have popped out, which means that this is the way we can move forward with one pedal at a time,” he added.

On the same day, a Bike Exhibit opened at SM City Iloilo, while a Push Bike Race was held at the Parking Terminal of Iloilo Business Park, Megaworld, in the afternoon.

Other activities scheduled for this year’s festival include the Bike Clinic, Grand Fun Ride, Skate and BMX Street Competition, Battle of the Bands, Cycling Cities Conference, I-Bike to Work: From Wheels to Reels Contest, Mega Criterium Race, Tour de Iloilo, Ambitious Bike Race, and Duathlon.
