loilo Bloggers Society Marks Seven Years With Giftgiving to 100 Kids: Blogging is often about telling stories from behind a screen. But for the Iloilo Bloggers Society (IBS), turning 7 years old this July 2026 meant stepping away from the screen and into the community.

A Special Anniversary Show in Pavia

IBS members joined the “Celebrate GreaT Anniversary Show” at GT Mall Pavia, held as part of GT Mall’s own 8th anniversary celebration. The event was extra special because it also served as the turnover of proceeds from GT Mall’s 3KM Color Run to 100 children from Brgy. Ungka I, Brgy. Ungka II, and Brgy. Aganan.

IBS took part by telling stories to the children, sharing the stage with other performers such as singer Allan Jose Tejam, the Iloilo Circle of Magic and Tito Ringo Gwapo, and even Jollibee, who joined in the fun.

Why This Partnership Matters. This project came from a new Memorandum of Agreement between IBS and GT Malls, marking their very first community activity together. IBS President Andrea Guanco called it a defining moment for the group. “This partnership represents more than collaboration – it signifies growth,” she said. “It is a monumental milestone that moves the Iloilo Bloggers Society beyond the mundane and into a future where our influence extends beyond our screens and into meaningful action.”

Seven Years of Stories and Growth. The community project is just one of several milestones IBS celebrated this year. The group resumed its learning sessions and invited outside speakers, giving members fresh ideas to grow as content creators. IBS also launched the IBS Bloggers Awards, created to honor authenticity and purpose, not just views.

In her anniversary message, Andrea reflected on how far the group has come. “We believe that stories matter. We believe that communities matter. And most importantly, we believe that even in our own little ways, we can make a difference,” she wrote.

What the Team Members Say. IBS Vice President Nonoy Taclino believes days like this show what the group is capable of together. “Individually, we tell stories. Together, we can actually show up, serve the community, and make an impact people can truly feel,” he said.

Legal officer Sheila Gomez said working with the kids brought her back to her early days in the group. “Despite our different paths, we always choose to show up, participate, and remain appreciative of every prize and reward,” she shared.

Member Gina Juarez, who told stories to the children, said the experience reminded her why she creates content in the first place. “Being a content creator comes with real responsibility, but nothing compares to the feeling of making an impact in person,” she said.

More Stories Still to Come. From new partnerships to new awards, IBS continues to grow while staying true to its roots. As the group celebrates 7 years, its members remain thankful for a community built on shared stories, shared purpose, and now, shared acts of kindness.
