The Iloilo Bloggers Society continues to strengthen its role as a community of digital content creators and storytellers in Iloilo. Composed of bloggers and online creators from different fields and interests, the organization has steadily expanded its involvement beyond content creation by participating in activities that support community engagement, local promotion, and public awareness.

In 2026, the organization aims to place greater focus on initiatives that encourage meaningful participation in community-related programs and partnerships. Through collaboration with local stakeholders, businesses, organizations, and public institutions, IBS hopes to contribute to projects that promote tourism, culture, local enterprises, and social responsibility.

The Iloilo Bloggers Society remains steadfast with Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas in uplifting local gastronomy and celebrating the city’s rich and diverse culinary heritage. We take pride in contributing to the city’s vision of further strengthening its distinction as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, bringing Iloilo’s flavors and stories to the global stage. Together, we honor our roots while shaping a dynamic and flavorful future for Iloilo City.

Over the years, digital platforms have become important tools for communication and information sharing. Recognizing this, IBS continues to encourage responsible content creation and the use of online platforms to highlight relevant stories, local developments, and community initiatives in Iloilo and nearby areas.

What began as an idea rooted in recognition and community has now become a meaningful milestone for the Iloilo Bloggers Society. Through his initiative and commitment, we were able to celebrate excellence in written and video storytelling and give Iloilo’s bloggers the recognition they truly deserve.

The Iloilo Bloggers Society successfully conducted its Q1 Learning Session for 2026, bringing together members for a meaningful afternoon of professional development and collaboration. The session featured insightful discussions on m ‘Professionalizing the Practice of PR in the Blogging Space’ with Mr. Ken Lerona, Founder of Cornelius Magnate Engagement & Consulting, and ‘Foundations of Ethical Journalism’with Ms. Lara Jeunesse Villaruel, College Secretary of the College of Communication, West Visayas State University. Beyond knowledge-sharing, the event served as a valuable platform for networking, strengthening partnerships, and reinforcing our shared commitment to ethical standards and professional growth. It was a significant step toward fostering a stronger blogging community built on mutual understanding, accountability, and shared responsibility.

The organization is also committed to supporting fellow creators by providing opportunities for collaboration, professional growth, and knowledge-sharing among members. By maintaining a network of individuals with different experiences and content niches, IBS continues to promote a culture of cooperation within the local digital media community.

As online communities continue to evolve, organizations such as IBS play a role in helping connect people, information, and local initiatives through digital platforms. Moving forward, the Iloilo Bloggers Society remains committed to responsible storytelling, community involvement, and supporting efforts that contribute positively to Iloilo and its growing digital landscape.
